Petrofac operates in difficult and hazardous environments and the safety of our people is absolutely paramount at all times. 2007 was the fifth year in succession that the Company’s recorded incident frequency rate declined. Further action is being taken to improve that performance still further.

As an organisation Petrofac wants to eliminate accidents and injuries to people in all aspects of its business; we recognise that this is a difficult goal but will strive to succeed. The Company’s ‘Horizon Zero’ health and safety campaign, which won the UK Offshore Contractor’s Association (OCA) safety award in 2006 provides the framework to help achieve this.
